WHO: Kids and teens ages 8-18 who have ever dreamed of playing in a band, recording their own music, becoming a rockstar or working in the Music Industry. Whether playing on stage or in the recording studio or working behind the scenes helping to produce and edit songs and music videos our Summer Band Camp has a place for everyone. *Auditions are required for all participants

WHAT: A 3 week intensive program, where participants meet 4 days a week, 3 hours a day developing as a band, writing and recording original music in a professional recording studio, filming a music video and performing live. Unlike any other summer camp or program, we boast an almost 1:1 ratio of instructor to participant.

WHERE: 615 E. 6th Street @ The School House of Rock / Frugal Rock Studios. Directly across 6th Street from the entrance to Tucson High School.

WHEN: Semester 1: June 13th - June 30th Semerster 2: July 5th - July 22nd| Pick between Morning (9am - 12pm) or Afternoon Sessions (1pm - 4pm)

HOW MUCH: $1200 $690.00 per semester* Tuition can be broken up into 3 payments of $230.00 or 5 payments of $138.00 with the last payment being made NO LATER than the first day of the semester being attended. Limited financial assistance available on a first come - first serve basis.
*We offer discounts for single parnets, military, teachers and families with more than one child enrolled. Don't hesitate to ask if you feel you may need financial assistance. We want to help.

The Big Picture

After acceptance into the program, each participant will:

• Become a member of a 2-5 piece band grouped according to age range, musical abilitiy, personalities and taste in music.
• Practice, collaborate and rehearse; writing and arranging original music or cover songs with their band.

• Rockers will democratically decide on a band name, design a logo, album artwork, and create a myspace profile.
• Participate in a photo shoot for their band with a full wardrobe, props and make-up.

• After rehearsing together each band will spend time in our professional on-site recording studio recording their music. The audio will then be professionally mixed and mastered.
• The final version will be pressed onto a CD with the bands album artwork and photos, and can be placed on the bands myspace page as well as being featured on the School House of Rock website.

• Bands will be given guidance and assistance in copywrighting any original music written during the program and help reigstering with ASCAP or BMI.
• We will ensure that all original music is properly copyrighted with even distribution of ownership between song-writers, helping band members learn the importance of royalties.
